La biographie de "Lifehouse"
Biographie de Lifehouse :

Lifehouse, au début de sa carrière, a beaucoup vécu des les salles de concerts de Los Angeles.
Dans la cité des Anges, Jason Wade, chanteur-auteur-compositeur,
et guitariste, donne naissance au groupe Lifehouse.

L'aventure du trio débute en 1996. La formation, qui joue dans les salles locales,
est vite signée par Dreamworks. En 2000, Lifehouse sort son premier album.
« No Name Face » est un véritable succès aux Etats-Unis.
« Hanging by a Moment » est la chanson la plus jouée en 2001 au pays de l'Oncle Sam.

Dans ce premier opus, Jason Wade met quelques-unes de ses chansons écrites à l'adolescence.
Pour ce jeune homme de 20 ans, comme pour Rick Woolstenhulme, le batteur,
ou Bryce Soderberg, le bassiste, tout se précipite de manière incroyable.

En 2002, Lifehouse sort « Stanley Climbfall ».
Le groupe continue son ascension en jouant avec les Rolling Stones.
Le trio part aussi en Allemagne avec Iron Maiden. En 2005, Lifehouse
revient avec un album éponyme. Pour cet opus, le fan des Beatles et d'Elliot Smith,
n'a pas essayé de plaire à quelqu'un en particulier. Ce qu'il fait doit d'abord lui plaire.
Dans « Lifehouse », Jason Wade livre ses sentiments sur l'amour
dans « You and Me ». La ballade pop-rock, efficace auprès
des jeunes et des moins jeunes, parle du moment où l'on tombe amoureux
de quelqu'un et où l'on est incertain de la réciprocité des sentiments.
D'une voix traînante et mélancolique, il chante la pièce pleine de monde
où l'on ne voit que la personne qui occupe notre esprit.

Jason Wade ne se livre pas beaucoup dans la vie.
Ses sentiments se retrouvent plus souvent
dans ses chansons qu'au cours d'une longue conversation.
Le leader de Lifehouse écrit sur les tourments de l'amour
et évoque même la séparation de ses parents.
Il avait douze ans, mais la cicatrice fait encore partie de lui.

L'enregistrement de l'album, au studio de John Alagia,
n'a pris que cinq semaines, mais Jason Wade y a mis sa vie.
